India is estimated to be home to around 70% of the world's tigers.

If India has 70% of the world's tigers, the other 30% (a mere ~667 tigers) are elsewhere leaving us with a total of less that 3,000 tigers worldwide.

While it is good news that the population has increased I find it rather shocking that there are less than 3,000 tigers left in the world.
