Family's dog returns after 23-day travel nightmare

"Wade Cook handed his father’s beloved dog off to a shipping company on December 28.

“We put a stipulation in the document that says she has to be there in two days. They said sure, no problem,” Cook said.

But when two days went by and Jewel didn’t arrive, the family panicked.

“Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Three days passed," Cook said."

There are several non-stop flights daily from Kansas City to Phoenix, and Kansas City is about 45 minutes from Olathe. The flight is about 2-1/2 hours.
