My building has four apartments, four guys.
First my neighbor at the south end of the building lost his dog Dodger.
Then I lost my cat Lucky.
Now my neighbor at the north end lost his dog Spirit.
I still have my cat Charlotte, and my north end neighbor has his little miniature German Shepard dog.
But after years, no, decades of things going good, suddenly in the space of 2 months, 3 pets lost.
If I was a conspiracy theorist, I'd be blaming the Illuminati about now.

(8,069 posts)I've had many wonderful dogs in my life, and it was a heartbreaker whenever I lost one. Alas, they live such short lives, compared to ours.
I do hope the poor critters didn't suffer. All my losses have been due to natural causes, which was tough enough. I can't imagine how painful it must be to lose a loved pet due to an accident, or somehow getting lost.
Anyway, my condolences, from someone who truly loves our canine friends.

(42,759 posts)Could it be possible a coyote has staked out your neighborhood as his own territory?
Sorry for the loss of the pets. It's like losing a family member.

(46,337 posts)But all 3 pets got sick or old, (Lucky was over 15 when she died,) and had to be put down.

There have been documented coyote attacks on pets very close to my home.
