Money is like a religion

See that money in your hand? It is just a piece of paper, much like bibles are pieces of paper with sacred words printed thereon.

What makes that money-paper a value to you? A belief. A belief instilled in you and reinforced over and over, again and again.

The whole basis of that printed paper-money having value is based on yours and society's belief that it has value, much like the believers of bibles hold value in those words. Take away that belief and the value is nothing.

Think about it.

Old lady judges watch people in pairs
Limited in sex, they dare
To push fake morals, insult and stare
While money doesn’t talk, it swears
Obscenity, who really cares
Propaganda, all is phony

Let's see which one gets to eat first.

Religion exists, as does money, but money gets you things. Religion only gets you things if you can use it to swindle others to give you things or money.

It's the belief of the guy I want to buy something from.

The shoe store believes in money. I believe in shoes.

No. Money is fiat currency declared by law to be a medium of exchange. The value of money comes from the force of the governments backing that money.
