Holed up in a printworks and surrounded by police, killers Said and Cherif Kouachi were unaware that commandos were being tipped off about their every move.
For, hidden in a cardboard box just yards away was 27-year-old Lilian Lepere.
And he was able to alert police about the location of the gunmen and the layout of the building.
For more than six hours the graphic designer passed on crucial information until the siege ended in a bloody shootout as the terrorist brothers, who had vowed to die as martyrs, burst out from their lair all guns blazing and were mown down in a hail of bullets.

Lilian Lepere, 27, hid in a cardboard box as the Charlie Hebdo gunmen held a father-of-two hostage for eight hours

in our people, and other countries investments in theirs.

Times like this, seems we should be doing more instead of cutting, give more opportunities to good folks, like this guy, who can keep their heads.

‘I managed to get my phone out discreetly and got in touch with the police outside while the terrorist was roaming the aisles.

‘A policeman told me that we should be ready to throw ourselves flat on the ground when the assault came, which would be soon.

‘It was obvious that the terrorist was preparing to die. He said it was his reward. He had a weapon in each hand and boxes of cartridges nearby. He suddenly began to pray.

‘My mobile was still on. The police had heard it all. Minutes later the shop grille was lifted. We knew it was the start of the assault.

‘We flung ourselves to the ground. The noise was deafening. He was dead. It was over.’

If he had tried to shoot the terrorists, he probably would not have lived to help the police.

Let's see young, good looking, smart and a hero. Oh man he is so hooked up.

So there are only a couple of things that really matter in life.
Love.
Good food.
Good sex.
I am not sure of the order on the last two. But I know together does not work.

I am real jealous. Just saying.
He lives in France. Best food and sex.

Me, old and fat.
Well I do have.
Love
She is a good Pa Dutch cook.
Good old sex.

Ok whats he got on me!

Nice job Lillian
You are what freedom is about!

that, but for the "cheese eating surrender monkey, freedom fry loving Frogs," they'd have grown up singing "God Save the Queen" every morning in school. Their fathers would have been the colonial arm of the British Expeditionary Force that landed at Normandy, and Bedford Falls would be called Downton Abbey.
