Paris Terrorist Attacks vs. Nigerian Massacre

I haven't seen any coverage of the Nigerian Massacre on our Corporate Directed 'News' today.

To them, I pose a question.

Why are the lives of the victims killed in Paris more worthy of mention (or obsession) than the lives of the victims killed in Nigeria?

Considering the Paris attacks happened in a major city with reporters already on the scene (and the attack itself was against a media outlet) whereas the Nigerian massacre took place in a remote border town where reporters are not present and whose safety would not be protected were they to try.

I'm not looking for equivalent coverage, but I was a little bit amazed to watch the NBC News and they didn't say a word. I knew about it because I read about it.

Fortunately, the tv news is kind of dinosaur territory nowadays and one can certainly get some info on these horrible attacks online.
