(CNN) A new report that says Gov. Chris Christie met with FBI agents and federal prosecutors last month has the governor's camp saying the New Jersey Republican has "fully" cooperated "with all appropriate inquiries" related to the George Washington Bridge scandal.
"Governor Christie made clear from day one that he and his administration would fully cooperate with all appropriate inquiries. That's exactly what he has done and will continue to do, and he is very much looking forward to this matter's conclusion," spokeswoman Maria Comella told CNN in a statement Friday. Christie's statement to CNN did not specifically address whether Christie met with the FBI and federal prosecutors last month.
ABC News first reported Friday that the New Jersey Republican privately sat down with officials at the governor's mansion in Princeton, New Jersey, where he answered questions for more than two hours in December.
