One of the fastest growing businesses in the Motor City has many residents raising concerns: Medical marijuana dispensaries.
This is the next big thing in the city of Detroit, said Councilman James Tate. Its quiet for folks who are not really paying attention, but everyday it seems like another business is opening up.
Tate told WWJs Charlie Langton the number of medical marijuana dispensaries within city limits is staggering.
The estimate is 180 medical marijuana dispensaries within the city of Detroit, he said. Ive counted 13 in District One myself. We see some locations, certainly along 8 Mile and other border streets, where you have four, five, six kind of clustered together.

(420 posts)You can't swing a dead cat in Detroit without hitting one. "Liquor - Beer - Wine" signs are just about as plentiful as traffic signs.

(4,876 posts)I go to Live Green on Sheridan and 26th... I got a quarter of Super Sour Diesel today for $60... Good too
I've heard there are stores selling quarters for $50 as well...
I've been buying the oPens, pre filled. It's way cheaper, although it's not quite the same as smoking the bud..

(4,876 posts)you know where to go. I have a gig in the Springs in 2 weeks, I can't wait to see how bad they are hacking people down there..
I'm actually surprised that the price hasn't come down yet... Most long time smokers I know are still buying on the street...
