Color me disgusted.

But I can’t imagine any other reaction when Republicans condemn extremist violence, then turn around and offer legislation that will gut benefits to the elderly and disabled. Their bills may not be quick and bloody, but the eventual outcome would be every bit as fatal as anything ISIS delivers to its own victims. The GOP’s repeated targeting of the weakest and most vulnerable discloses a bully mentality that shames the very ideals they claim to revere. Patriots my ass.

IF it were their primary source of election funding.
Publicly-Funded elections have to be our first (and, until it's done) our ONLY legislative priority.
If we get that, we can win everything else that's needed, because in a fair fight, electoral demographics favor us, and those numbers just keep going up as time goes forward.

Say that "both parties are the same"! It's insane for anyone to believe such crap when all the republicans have done since president Obama took office is try their best to stop any kind of help for those who need it, and continue to do all the can for their rich donors, and they will continue to do so for the next two years.

Those who use the "both parties are the same" meme are not "real" democrats, liberals, or progressives!

Most of the GOP are bullies and many in the Democratic party are the bullied or are the ones that think you can negotiate with the bullies...as if the bully demanded their lunch money and they negotiated them to just take half of it...and count it as a win.
So no they are not the same, and there is no changing the behavior of the bully party until you change our behaviour...convince the Dems to stand up to the bully and say no lunch money at all.
Bullies and appeasers are different but one cannot exist without the other...that is the behaviour that needs to change.

Cutting benefits to every person on disability is not the way to fix this. Maybe they could hire enough investigators to weed out any frauds that may exist. Or deal with doctors, if there are any, who are helping people get disability when they are not disabled. Or how about open up more opportunities for people who are disabled to get decent jobs that can accommodate their disability.

Hell, it isn't like it is easy to get disability. There are hundreds of other ways to deal with any problems.

The republicans and fundamentalist Christians condemn extremist violence, yet they side with the National Rifle Association (extremist violence group) and create churches like the MMA church and the church in Arkansas where they teach that god wants men to own guns.

I seem to remember several posts here that outlined the Republican health-care plan. 1. Don't get sick.
2. If you are incompetent enough to get sick, die. We knew they would be coming after all social programs, especially SS. This is their back-door into which they will ultimately try to kill all of Social Security. All scumbag politicians supporting such nonsense should have their government pensions revoked. They are certainly not patriots...they are Koch-sucking GREEDY BASTARDS. (I seem to use that term quite often when I think of Republicans.)
