Repugs are pinching off sources of income

They've ruined the job market, can't work to make money, can hardly work to keep food on the table. Military families qualify for food stamps, but the food stamp program is gutted. They limited unemployment. Going after SS and SSDI. The repugs want their rich supporters to be the only people getting money. They think that churches and charities will take care of all the people who can no longer take care of themselves. What's going to happen when the churches and charities realize that taking care of the millions of poor is draining all of their resources?

After this latest plot to destroy SS, SSDI, I just don't think the right wants anyone to have anything, even the basics to stay alive. They are like the alien in Independence Day, just want us to die...

1. Agree, except I think the republicans know churches and charities are not enough. They do not care.

They do not care one jot if lives are destroyed and people die.

of poverty without the government's help. It was interesting to see one of the rw churches turn their huge rummage sale into a free giveaway.

They are creating conditions where people will be grateful for having jobs that pay dirt wages and shitty working conditions, and they won't complain out of fear of losing them. It's already happening. They want it for everyone.

They've been working for decades to destroy the infrastructure of this country, including "we the people" and it's working. They are greedy, self-serving traitors, with no regard for our rights nor the welfare of the country as a whole. As long as they have money, we can all perish and they won't blink an eye.

I don't wholly blame the Repugs though. Dems have been complacent (either passively or actively), and "we the people" have allowed it to happen.

Just putting it into words. I am angry because they are going after SS and SSDI. AGAIN. How is this country supposed to get anything done when we the people are reduced to constantly worrying about how we're going to live?

I truly think they want us all to die (although, if we are all dead, who is going to do their scutwork, buy their cheap goods, etc.?)

everyone needs to consider making actual money worthless. We need to start another form of currency, doesn't need to be coins and paper or plastic. If we stop recognizing what they value and move beyond them we win back our lives. We also need to convince those who would serve them that there is a better way t live life so they stop doing their bidding (taking value out of their currency will help make this part possible).

Until then, the beatings will continue.

That support those who would oppress the poor or support conservatives.

Some choices are simple: instead of angel soft toilet paper, purchase a toilet paper that is not manufactured by the Koch Brothers.

Don't spend money when you don't have to, drink water instead of soda pop etc. If everyone tried to buy products that supported good causes and avoided products that support bad causes, we might be able to make a difference.

My husband says I need 2 lists to go grocery shopping--a list of groceries and a list of things I boycott. We pretty much eschew items we don't need, that are made by corporations like the Kochs run. We buy second-hand when we can, but even then, if it says Walmart, I don't buy it.

Do you have a list that you use detailing which products to support and which to avoid?

I live so far away from "shopping" that it's pretty cut and dried. I normally have researched what I buy and write on the list for my once every eight to twenty week trip to the city. And often I am simply replacing something I use regularly and they are often bulk ingredients. The process most of my food gets is what I do to it myself... I am very fortunate that way and very thankful that I have been able to do it. When I divested of my household, the valuable items I retained were a major percentage kitchen tools and cooking items.

I also barter locally rather than shop.

They follow Ayn Rand. It's a death culture, with only a few left to rule over the Earth. They think it's a good thing.

There were plenty of churches around during the Great Depression but people still starved. We all know that.

rely on donations and people funding their work. They don't have a "magic source" of magic income that just automatically, magically appears whenever and however it's needed. They can only help if they, themselves, are receiving donations and funding and such funding often has to come from the very people who are being fucked over and have few resources themselves. The goddamned RW know this. They just don't give a shit. They hope that by continually repeating the "churches and charities will help" line that that'll get them off the hook and distract people.
