Another Reason to Hate

I hope that these remarks won't be misinterpreted as some kind of sympathy for the murderers in France.

I am concerned, however, about the way our citizens can come to hate people of other ethnicities when some of their craziest radicals act crazy. We have plenty of radicals in our own country. We understand that our extremists aren't representative of us.

I am thinking that we just got over (or did we?) our anger at North Koreans over their hacking (or not) of a C- rated film.

I have friends of other ethnicities. Some of them have told me about their experiences with people who wanted to hurt them (especially after 9/11) because some of our citizens can't tell one ethnicity from other and wanted to attack somebody. A couple of my Indian friends told me stories, and I actually observed this happen in one instance.

Peace.

all readily agreed had nothing to do with Christianity...apparently that reasoning does not apply to
Islam.....or to black folks and their institutional buildings getting almost fire bombed as well by mad men masquerading their madness with the cloak of religion.

Fox will jump on this event like a dog on fleas, just as they always do. I don't watch Fox, but it's very popular, and I see enough right-wing quotes from them.

I've known plenty of tolerant religious folks of all stripes, but the wild eyed fundies are always the loudest voice in the room.

and there's another consideration... ignorance whether willful or as a product of environment.

Your assessment works best when allowing for the vast majority of the population actually having an IQ that registers as a positive integer on a number line.

I am not exactly pearly white in appearance, though my birth certificate says I am "white", yet on the afternoon of 9/11/01 I was approached/accosted by an angry idiot with pale skin who started yelling at me and telling me to "go back to that f'ing desert and rot you f'ing camel jockey!" And encountered several angry glares from folks who thought I was some international student who should be questioned about my allegiance to the US. I was not all that surprised about it given how I normally assessed by my appearance.

So there's that. You know that KKKarl Turdblossom will be making an appearance on the TeeVee any day now with some propaganda that is a marketing strategy for the mic.

We (as in our rulership) never "gets over" anything anymore which provides them with a full menu of options with each negative response to our hegemony. And the folks who are not capable of critical thinking follow their leaders.

It's how we roll.
