Today is Primary Day in Pennsylvania - Time to vote

Primaries are just as important as general elections. So get out there and vote.

There was an 80% turnout in France on Sunday for the first round of the French presidential election.

And here at my polling place, in the highly populous Northern Liberties, I was voter number 60 at 3PM.

Says something about how highly we value our rights here in the good old USA.

Obviously that USA Number One stuff doesn't apply to civic engagement.

1. I just voted.

I'm in the 33-33 in Philly. I was voter #65 at 6:45 pm.

2. I voted at about 6:00 PM and was #96.

I have to admit that there was not much to vote for on the ballot, and I suppose that the Republican ballot was not much better. But that is not the point for me. If there is even one race with more than one candidate, I'm in.

It amazes me that so many people are willing to let a few people choose their leaders.

And I was surprised that my poll worker did not ask me for a photo ID, since I had heard that this was supposed to be a standard thing to prepare voters for the fall election.....not that many people were voting, so this fall may be a real problem for those who are not staying informed.
