Right now, the rock bottom oil is starting to defund ISIS as well as Russia, which is why they're all for it.
As soon as they start feeling seriously pinched, they'll rebel.

For urban dwellers, this is a Godsend. A heavy commuter will save a grand or more this year if prices stay here. OTOT, North Dakota and Texas lose money.
Even if the Keystone XL were built (God Forbid!), it might not be economical to extract tar sands oil at this price.

At that point, the impact on dollar-denominated gas prices in the US will be... nonlinear, to say the least.

...but with Greece (and other issues), would this be a good time? I'm thinking "no."
