Mitt's big push for younger voters: I'm younger than McCain!

Mitt Romney, grandfather of 16, turned 65 last month, making him officially a senior citizen.

For a Republican Party whose last presidential candidate would have been 72 on Inauguration Day, this qualifies as “youthful.”

His campaign surrogates argued on Tuesday that despite Democrats’ dominant advantage with under-30 voters in the polls, the GOP will win them back in November — in part thanks to Romney’s relative age.

“My guess is you’ll see a dramatic difference in the youth vote this time — part of it is you have a younger, more dynamic Republican candidate,” Hank Brown, 72, a retired senator and former Colorado University president, said on a Romney campaign conference call. “Whether it’s entitlement reform or a youthful candidate or the potential of jobs, you’re going to have many different factors at work with regard to young people.”

72 years old.

To him, maybe Romney does seem "dynamic".

12. Dude, being 72 is no excuse to call Rmoney dynamic.

Mitt Romney is boring at any age. He is more boring than McLame and gives Dole a run for the money. Hell, at least Dole could tell old war stories.

Mitt Romney could bore the stink off shit. Old boy called Rmoney dynamic because he is a Republican and that means he is a liar trying to pull a flim/flam to come out a buck ahead somewhere.
He's probably just hoping some brave and brazenly dishonest toady in the media will try to spread the meme or that several of the talking heads will just "mention" it and hope it gets enough traction to allow a little tinkering with the returns.

The best course is to work from the assumption of the worst possible motives and scheming and prepare the best you can to brace for something on a whole other level worse than that.

It has been a long damn time since there has been anything but downside in assuming anything but mal-intent and deep conspiracies to have their way by hook or crook. To grant such measure in matter great and small at this stage in the game borders on suicidal.

They come for our resources, our self determination, and our labor or even our suffering if a penny can be harvested from it and then they wish to spread that dominion over every man, woman, child, fish, foul, crawling thing, beast, mineral, ore, and resource that there is. They will never stop, it is not possible to sate their hunger, and possessions beyond any reckoning will not even give pause to their avarice.

The world and every soul and every scrap of life on and in it are not enough.

My right wing father in law thought Palin was Presidential material ... his reasoning ... she was "spunky".

Or, to translate, she winked at him on the TV, and he felt a tingling in his naughty parts.

Earlier today, on the liberal MSNBC, I heard one right wing whack job say that Romney was going to win the Latino vote, and then another claim that Romney was going to do very well with the youth vote.

And apparently ... he's dynamic. He's also going to win the female vote because Obama is bad for women. Romney is also going to win the poor, because he has a plan to make them not poor.

Up is down, day is night. Romney killed Osama bin Laden, and he also saved the auto industry. The Dow is up 5000 points thanks to Romney, and Iran is so scared of Romney that they will give us all of their oil if we elect him.

This is the kind of non-sense that we can expect to hear from the right wing for the next 6 months.

In ten years he will still be a liar only with more experience. IMO he already has too much. He is reversing his positions at record speed, sometimes even in the same stump speech. What is even worse is the eejits that voted for him in the primary. Seriously how could they vote for the very thing they say they are against? It makes no sense. They are voting for another chickenhawk. Demented little twits.

If McCain was younger, he'd have won with 100% of the vote.

By 15 years. While there is 10 years difference with MaGoo and Rmoney. Yeah he's just a youngster. Mitt is hip, he knows the bling thing, and hop hip music. He's on to these new things like my space, E-pods, and the new Etch A Sketches that lets you not only draw, but write words too. It's hip to be Mitt.

13. Republican logic explained

Okay, I really took one for the team this time. I put myself in a sensory deprivation chamber for 13 hours, the last two of which were spent atmosphere-free. I had attained a state so close to Nirvana, I could see Guatama's head looming over my airspace. There was also a voice saying "Eat Me," but as there was nothing to eat, I felt it was safe to ignore that.

Anyway, in a blinding flash of insight, which I didn't recognize for some time as my sense of sight had been deprived of all light. Sensory deprivation chamber, remember? Where was I? Oh yeah, insight. See, Romney is seven years younger this year than McCain was in 2008. Using Romney's favorite unit of measurement (dog years), I figured that meant that Romeny was actually 49 years younger! 49 from 65 is 16, so Romney is actually a 16-year-old! Hello, youth vote!

By the same token (heh, heh), Obama is four years older this year than he was four years ago. (Try to argue that logic, I dare ya!) And in dog years, that means that Obama is actually 28 years older in 2012, so he's really a 78-year-old geezer! The choice couldn't be clearer: A vital 16-year-old, offered up by the Republicans, or the geriatric 78-year-old the Democrats are running.

Whoof! I need a drink or six.
