POS used car salesman.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=6032234

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

Of course referring to President Obama with this nasty epithet. Does DU have ANY standards remaining? This is well beyond "criticism," so before you wave this off as healthy debate, keep in mind this post is in response to an unsubstantiated, unsupported "quote." The knee jerk name-calling is really getting ridiculous. Check the TOS, this behavior is covered AT LENGTH.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Fri Jan 2, 2015, 11:19 AM, and the Jury voted 3-4 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: I take the dim view of this kind of expression in the total absence of any other content. If the comment had been made in a larger context of some substantive criticism, I might have been more accepting.
Juror #3 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: They should hide the poster.
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given

Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

That does not mean that we are not allowed to speak up against things that we do not believe are good for the country just because the president is for those things.

Closing gitmo does not hold a candle to the damage that will be done with the TPP, and that is what this is all about. I have always given him credit where credit is due, and I have supported him on things that I did not even support, but I will not stand side by side with him on the TPP.

Whatever he does, whatever he proposes, it's always the wrong thing. Even when he gets something monumental accomplished, he didn't do it right and he didn't do it on his first day in office. No matter how big the achievement, he didn't do something more important or he's doing something actively evil in another area.

So no, I don't see him getting credit for "the good things." I see members who want to give him credit being mocked and excoriated and told to segregate themselves in one small group away from the rest of DU. I've seen at least two DUers driven away; one an unabashed fan from another country, and another who was an invaluable resource for information and links.

while the opposing (seriously, WHERE ARE WE that a thread supporting president Obama on a Dem board has an OPPOSING thread???!!) thread braying about Bernie Sanders is left alone but somehow, it's Obama supporters that are running people off of DU.

And Bernie Sanders isn't even a damned Democrat. This place is just gone and has been for too long. I've asked in two threads why the sudden lurch back to the endless wailing over the TPP when nothing has even happened as well as the reversion back to Obama bad/Sanders and Warren good that this web site had (blissfully) gotten away from for a few weeks but no one seems to know. I've got my suspicions (way too much focus on racism and police brutality and the "it's not race, it's class" crew is just restaking their territory) but really, it's anybody's guess what motivates these folks.

It's been a long, long time since I could come to DU for reliable factual information on a regular basis.

For real.

Contrary to your post, I will assume that you are grown up.

The problem is that Obama's bad acts have much broader, deeper and longer-lasting repercussions than his "good things," which makes them pale in comparison. Yeah, he did an end-run around Congress to close Gitmo seven years after he promised to do so. In the meantime he increased military operations in Africa by 217%, intensified our drone campaigns that kill 50 innocents for every suspected militant, attacked Libya without authorization, reinserted troops into Iraq, claimed the authority to execute U.S. citizens without due process, enshrined indefinite detention into U.S. law, condoned torture, expanded NSA citizen surveillance activities and is pushing the TPP.

So hurray! Obama released some Gitmo captives after only seven more years of unlawful imprisonment and torture. Whoopee!

Now before you even start pounding out that next post with the same damn question, I don't "support" the TPP based upon what I know about it at this point, but that doesn't result in me screaming * POS TRAITOR * like a freaking idiot.

I was very happy he is our president in stead of Rmoney and loved his populist rhetoric when he was campaigning. Where's that guy? The medical insurance fix was monumental. But I still need a good paying job like had before Nafta after putting myself through school to pay for said medical bills..

I dotted my I's and crossed my t's and poof no job, since. Just a struggling contractor trying to make ends meet now with no certainty for a long time and now he wants to push the TPP!?

There is an absolute disconnect to his fluttery speech's and his action and I know damn well there are a lot of people who can see this.

Soon as he said "I'm a new Democrat" in his acceptance speech I new it was all bullshit and he has proven that time and time again, the third way golden child.

Remember when he threw the "professional left" under the bus on FOX? Is that the way to pump up your base? No he was backing up the Corporations and the 1%.

I cried when he was elected but he let me way down and has completely driven off the cliff.

Didn't the midterms show you what's going on.

Jeezuz

So sue me if I don't have his poster hanging on my bedroom wall.

When do we get they type of socialism he's handed to the bankers. We still have pot smokers going to jail. If you can't see the contrasts then that's not my problem because I know plenty of people who do.

Obstructionism from the Republicans? Say it isn't so.

I knew before his first day as president they were going to screw him. Do we remember the junior Bush years where the GOP just walked all over everyone? That was supposed to change after a liberal won the presidency? Naive much?

So we're all supposed to hold hands and sing Kumbya because people are holding his feet to the fire, like he asked, Oh I forget he never put his comfortable walking shoes on.

I'm glad he has helped billions of people by championing LGBT causes and the laundry list of his accomplishments, but I just wanted one thing from the guy, jobs and a better economy. I'm sure we can all agree on that but he seems bound and determined to bury that once and for all. FOR ALL OF US.

I have said time and time again that I have always voted Democrat and believe it or not I do the same. Try to turn Cons into free thinkers at least so they can "see the light".

I want actual Dems to vote for, not the third way and conservative policies. I'll assume you support the TPP then. I'll choose to help the country and it's citizens and vote for someone who will stand against it.

but if all you have is to brand me a "negative nelly", then that's all I need to know about you.

Do you think beating us over the head with a big picture will make us like his bad policies?

107. They can't talk about the TPP so they make their pictures larger. Ask them if they support the TPP.

If they like the Pres so much, why can't they say they support the TPP?

life aint perfect. politics aint perfect. and the pres is not a king.
i trust that it will be a better deal because he is the one with the better cards.

but again, why people have to drag this shit into this thread is beyond me.

But feel free to do just the opposite if that makes you happy.

Had to burn my pompoms. No more blind support for shit policies from this old man.

Reminds me of an old song, "Lovin That Man of Mine," that goes way way back.

In spite of anything that appears to be wrong, indecisive, unpleasant or whatever, I just can't stop liking this President. I am so glad I lived long enough to see a guy like this elected President of the United States.

Happy retirement, when it comes, Mr. P... You make me want to live longer just to see what kind of trouble you get into next, and land miraculously on your feet as you always do.
