(9,999 posts)Jeb will ask Cheney to look over possible VP candidates and Cheney will pick himself. Sorry, the thought of another Bush for President just brings back a flood of bad memories.

(17,863 posts)in the shameless way that Cheney did in 2000. From the moment he was put in charge of the committee to select Bush's VP running mate, it has been one sleazy thing after another.

(2,682 posts)He's not employed at this time and he appeals to the crazies. Jebbie can then pretend that he isn't one of the crazies in order to lull the independents and rip off their votes.

(9,148 posts)I cannot even imagine the size of his bloated ego, if that is Jebs pick.

(2,682 posts)he would be out chasing the big bucks. I'm sure his "employer" would cut him some slack so he could campaign -- after all, think of the perks they would get if he was elected VP! One hand washes the other, as they say.

(17,380 posts)I don't know much about her, other than she is a Hispanic female governor. Especially if Hillary is the nominee, I think it is a safe bet that Republicans won't nominate two white guys.

(111,277 posts)but she still won re election with a low margin I didn't expect at all.
She's also going to be out of office for good in 2018, so running for VP in 2016 would look really good for her--and get her out of our hair.
People call her Susana la Tejana because she's a Texas transplant. She's also owned by the Kochs, so the national party adores her.
This state likes to change parties in the governor's mansion every 8 years, so unless she wanted to primary Steve Pearce (R-dumb as a stump) out of his Representative chair, she's got nowhere to go. Both Democratic Senators and the other two Representatives are solidly popular here and I doubt she'd be able to unseat either one of them.
So if they ask her, I'm sure she'll have her bags pre packed.

(725 posts)And with Jeb's wife being Mexican and whole family being fluent in Spanish, I think that ticket would be very well received among Hispanic Americans.

(45,274 posts)Actually, I think he has a pretty good chance; the MIC & Wall St. ought to love him, he can make inroads on the Hispanic vote, & can pull in the big money as well as anyone. The multinationals aren't gonna let any teabagger anywhere near the nomination, just like last time.

(38,187 posts)All Georgie had to do was whine to the SCOTUS, "Meh, I want to be president." and they stopped the vote counting to make it happen. This Bush will be no different. They ALWAYS get their way. I wouldn't doubt if their entire plan for the 2016 presidential election isn't in place, disenfranchising, cheating and all.

(1,713 posts)Hype aside, I really can't see Jeb winning the nomination. I don't at all believe the polls that say he's the front-runner, given that his support was so low as to be difficult to measure before he suddenly started polling 15%+ out of nowhere.

(725 posts)It's all rigged and predetermined, in both parties. Jeb has been selected and that's that. He's going to be the next CEO of the Hegemon.
