We're about halfway through this decade. How much have things changed since 2010?

We are right now at the midway point of the decade. How much have things changed since 2010?

Here's some things off to start:

- Slow recovery from the start of the recession

- Recognition of rising income inequality (thanks to Occupy Wall Street)

- Recognition of NSA surveillance (thanks to Edward Snowden)

- Gay people finally getting significant mainstream acceptance

- Collapsing support for the war on drugs

- Russia turning from friend to foe

- Tablet computers becoming popular

- Retina (super high resolution) screen tablets and smartphones
