NC baby severely burned over 35% of his body

"A one-year-old Charlotte boy will spend Christmas in Brenner Children’s Hospital after a slow cooker filled with boiling apple cider toppled over on him.

Doctors said about 35 percent of Remy Linkous’ body was burned with second- and third-degree burns. His recovery will be lengthy, they said, and include about a month a month-and-a-half in the hospital. The burning incident occurred on Dec. 21 in Caldwell County, at Patricia Linkous’ mother’s house."

This family could really use some help this holiday season. I can't imagine having to cope with this type of tragedy. The news article includes a link a GoFundMe webpage set up to help them with medical expenses. I wasn't sure if it would be appropriate to post the direct link.

Definitely something to think about. We had a couple little ones running around over the holiday. We had some slow cookers going as well.

I'll never forget the pain that he was in or the guilt that I felt. Seeing the images of that poor baby breaks my heart.
