(86,764 posts)now that I look at the calendar, you're right!
We still have only about 1/3 of the snow we should have so far so getting the wood in late wouldn't have been too bad up until about a week ago. But the cold will get you, it was never really very hot this summer, so we've been "heating" throughout most of the year this time around, especially at night.
But it's chilly out there, too chilly to enjoy a good ski right now, which is why I'm on the interwebs right now.

(129,346 posts)Over yonder here in Philly, we have been counting our blessings for the mild spell because we know what will be in store by February! That big 'ole Atlantic Ocean is chilling down quickly.

(86,764 posts)I'm originally from the New England coast but now in Montana at roughly 7K ft. elev. I'll put some more wood in the stove, time for chores and then go see if the vehicle wants to start. If not, there's always tomorrow for good or ill.
