"An AirAsia flight has lost contact with air traffic control in Jakarta, Indonesia, a crisis center for the airline said Sunday. The plane's flight number is AirAsia Flight 8501."

Had seen in LBN and just heard on the radio from CBS news at the top of the hour.
"At this time, search and rescue operations are in progress and AirAsia is cooperating fully and assisting the rescue service," the airline said, adding that a hotline had been established for people who believed their loved ones may have been on board.

5 hours? That doesn't seem right. News travels much faster than that these days. Very strange.
