NY POLICE UNION LEADER PAT FUCKING LYNCH..

Is just so fucking ignorant to understand that Right Wing ideology, which he thinks his union should support, in reality would love to privatize every unionized police force in the country and turn their jobs into $12.00 an hr jobs which they could turn over to Wall Street.. With few fucking benefits which they enjoy now..

It just pisses me off so much what they did to the mayor today.. And I have a couple of close friends on the NYPD force...

He'd better pay attention to what happened to the teachers in Wisconsin. The same thing could just as easily happen to public service workers anywhere. The Republicans don't care about anything but tax cuts for the rich. When that happens, the first people to suffer are public workers.

They should hire twice as many for half as much, and do it ike jury duty. Throw everyone's name in the hat and if your name is called and you ain't working, then you're up with the only qualification that if you want to be a cop, you can't be one. Give everyone five years and ten if they are good at it, and then fresh minds and fresh faces. The last person in the world you want copping is some one jaded on humanity.

up with those who are mentally ill or drug/booze dependent, not to mention the abusive domestic family members ... Not an easy thing to do and they should be paid well..

And I walked the line. I was no threat to them. But you should have heard the bastards lie, and first appearance in court the cops called the judge: cut 'em loose Bruce behind his back, but they over charged the crap outa me just to try to break me.

If the job is dangerous, it is more dangerous for them in the middle of the enemies they make for themselves, and if they want to throw the world in jail there will only be less money for them on the street. We cannot afford the over burden of law, and we cannot afford these dingdongs in blue teaching everyone a contempt of law by their perceived lawlessness.

It is a job people should be drafted for, and made to do if not otherwise working, and if physically and mentally up to it. Being forced to do it, even if paid, will keep people from looking for trouble, and it will allow putting more cops on the scene in case of trouble. Look at these guys: Short handed, trained to be aggressive, ticking off people where ever they go. They have a right to feel scared, and their job is not more dangerous than the one I did for thirty years, and I never had a gun in my hand.

If they are afraid, deal with it. If they cannot deal with it short of violence, they should take a hike. I was not brutalized by the brutality I suffered. I wonder how many brutes these brutes create to give them in the end only more excuse for brutality.

Enforcing our laws and obeying our laws is the job of everyone. In an democracy, and who can say we are that; the people are the law. If the police and their privileges are a part of the problem then democratize the position. No one should carry a gun unless against their will. It is not a right, but an obligation. If this obligation is too much for most, it is still reasonable for them to assign the task; and that is what it should be; not the Little Big Horn, or Fort Apache. Punch in; punch out, go home have dinner with the family so you understand what it is about. It should not be a career, but a job, and a service to society, and then you're done, get on with your life.

or maybe we could actually train our cops and screen them to prevent the bullies from graduating police school
