If Teddy Roosevelt were alive today...

...he would say that we need to bust up a few trusts, once again.

And he would start with the media conglomerates. Perhaps start with FOX and MSNBC and Comcast and Direct TV. They should be broken up into smaller but fairer portions.

Then, he would take on the defense industry. The defense contractors would also be broken up. We would still get what we need for defense but not decided by a few contractors. They would compete for defense dollars - not automatically handed to them on a silver plate...

...and not just Fox "News". The whole right would attack him as a typical "limousine liberal", and the mainstream media would lap it up. And you know what? He'd love it! He'd disembowel his critics alive, and enjoy every second of it...

Hopping over to PBS now to see if a re-run of "The Roosevelts" is on again.

he would be masturbating with George W Bush over fantasies of imperialistic wars and of torturing non-white people.

Howard Dean was the "unbeatable front runner," then he made the mistake of saying he's do something about media concentration.

After a three-week artillery barrage from the coporatist media, the likes of which had neve been seen, Howard Dean was declared "unelectable."

Then there is Eisenhower who deserves to be on the list because he opposed Joe McCarthy and used the National Guard to block segregationist governors. And that's about it.
