Coming our way soon,

"Israel charges eight Palestinians over Facebook posts"

An Israeli court yesterday indicted eight Palestinians from East Jerusalem for "inciting" anti-Jewish violence and supporting "terror" in postings on Facebook, an Israeli Ministry of Justice statement said.

The eight men, aged 18-45, were charged at the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court with "incitement to violence or terror and supporting a terrorist group" on Facebook, the statement said.

Commenting on incidents which recently took place in Jerusalem, the men posted remarks criticising Israeli violence and hailing Palestinians facing it, attempting to deter the daily desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque and stopping continuous aggression on Palestinian residents in the city.

'coming our way', as would many other americans.

'Inciting' :

anti-jewish violence
anti-cop violence
anti-LGBT violence
anti-male violence
anti-female violence
anti-immigrant violence

It is all protected unless it meets the Brandenburg v. Ohio test and thus not subject to State sanction.

(We of course are free to counter said speech with our own speech)

so if you're going to have an account there, please be completely paranoid about your security settings. If a prospective employer demands your password to see your account, tell him you don't have one, sorry, must be somebody else with the same name.

As for anything in your post being approved of here, none of it is so please reword that.

What we do approve of is free speech, even foul speech because it allows us to know who the haters are and to keep tabs on them.

1st amendment protection (however they define 'hate speech', natch!). Just put 'hate speech' in the search bar at the top of this screen and see.

Totally agree with your warning about FB though and employment!
