Sony Says It Will Stream 'The Interview' Starting Today

Sony Pictures Entertainment says it will offer online streaming of "The Interview," the comedy at the center of a massive cyberattack blamed on the North Korean government, starting Wednesday afternoon.

The studio says the movie will be available to rent for $5.99 beginning at 1 p.m. ET through Google Play, YouTube, Microsoft Xbox and a dedicated website, seetheinterview.com. It will be available to buy for $14.99.

The only reason for holding the release was the believed terrorist attacks on movie theaters was credible or wth knows? Sony appears to be incompetent, Sony Playstation was hacked.

There are references to Sony Pictures Germany being hacked earlier than year but having trouble finding articles 'at-the-time' which backs up the unreported claim if true

I'm still not sure if The Interview was the primary motive, ironically all their data was dumped except a copy The Interview on data sharing sites or just a false flag (or secondary to the revenge motive which seems apparent).

I think they worked out a very profitable solution to this mess. At $5.99 a clip they'll make more $$ than they would have selling it to theaters. Too bad they'll be pissing off all the theater owners.
