What in the world the "radical feminist agenda"?

The trad blogs are all atwitter that the Sisters associated with the LCWR are pushing a radical feminist agenda. What does that mean? Is there any relationship to the gay agenda? Are toasters involved?

(As opposed to seeking relative accommodation within the patriarchy)

You asked and that's the literal answer to the question.

Now as to who or what is pursuing that agenda, and whether things like good wages and reliable access to contraception are "radical," that's for wing-nuts to debate.

The wing-nut idea of "radical" feminism is a woman asking for a raise.

"Radical feminism is a current theoretical perspective within feminism that focuses on the theory of patriarchy as a system of power that organizes society into a complex of relationships based on an assumption that male supremacy oppresses women. Radical feminism aims to challenge and overthrow patriarchy by opposing standard gender roles and oppression of women and calls for a radical reordering of society."

I cannot scarcely imagine that anyone would disagree. ("Radical" does not primarily mean extreme. It is not a pejorative term, though of course people take it that way when it suits them.)

you have to accuse them of having a "radical {insert negative label here} agenda"...

And we can see quite quite clearly from your posts that you have a radical post-modernist anti-toaster agenda.

that proper toast emerges only when the setting is "4" and those who set the toaster at "2" are eating warm bread and merely pretending to be eating toast!
