Atlanta Theater to Show "The Interview" Movie.
Good for them. I may go see it after all.
ATLANTA —
The Plaza Theatre in Atlanta has confirmed to Channel 2’s Erica Byfield it will show the controversial movie, "The Interview."
The theater said Sony executives "are putting the movie" in the mail Tuesday.
Channel 2's Erica Byfield spoke with the theater's owner Tuesday afternoon.
"To me, there's nothing worse than censorship. And really what this has turned into is blackmail," Michael Furlinger told Byfield.
Furlinger says the movie will be on two screens Christmas Day. Tickets for that show will go on sale at the box office Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. and eventually online.
