Yes, it's only Xmas Eve, but I knew if I didn't say this now, I wasn't going to remember to do so later.

You guys and gals rock.

You just fucking rock.

We've had some amazing memories this year, and we've had some awful ones. There have been times we've stood together, and other where we've wanted to rip each other apart. But at the end of the day, and I know how fucking sickeningly trite this sounds--we're a family, and we're friends.

There have been times this year I've wanted to just give up on coming here. There have been times I've wanted to--and indeed, did--flip shit at people here.

But overall, I couldn't be happier to call my fellow DUers my friends. You helped me through one of the toughest parts of my life with Daisy's passing. You've made my sides ache with laughter. You've shown me a level of kindness and friendship I never would have expected out of total strangers.

You've made me so fucking proud to be a part of this family.

So Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and I look forward to another year with all of you!

Just for the record, though, I've never wanted to rip a single DUer apart, ever. Not even close. On the other hand, I don't love every DUer like I love my most beloved family members, either. But I do always wish everyone well.
