Michael Grimm (R-NY) Pleads Guilty to "Not Being Man Enough" to Pay His Taxes Like Everybody Else.

That's right, tough guy Michael "I'll break you in half like a boy" Grimm shit his pants, and copped a plea bargain when some nerds at the IRS threatened him with a pen. Grimm will plead guilty tomorrow to one count of hiding a few million dollars in taxes from his restaurant, and hiring illegal aliens. (Seriously, you don't REALLY think Republicans want to deport all the poor bastards who make them rich, do you?)

The interesting question now is, will he RESIGN like he said he would if found guilty of Tax Evasion. Or, will he fiddle, and say "oh no....I said I'd resign if I was FOUND guilty, not if I PLEAD guilty..."

1. The reason America wont survive, ultimately, is that this person was reelected

That level of purposeful ignorance and hate on the part of voters will surely destroy us eventually.

and they would be stuck with Recchia for two years if he won.

Hopefully, democrats will find a decent candidate this time. No need for a rocket scientist, but somebody who can say a few sentences without looking totally stupid would be nice.

If he runs we have a chance but in the end the odds are against us.

if he'd cheated on his taxes just a couple of years later, they probably never would have caught it. Not with half of the IRS's auditors laid off.

It's truly stunning how ignorant people are when it comes to taxes. About what can and can't be deducted, about what qualifies as a business expense, about where your tax dollars actually go. Truly this should be a required class in order to graduate. A lot of our political infighting could be solved if people just learned what was on their tax forms, and I think the system gets heavily abused because of people who are ignorant when it comes to taxes.

Says something though that he ran for re-election "knowing" he was guilty.

The Judge and DA might say they are taking the disgrace of having to resign into account. But, yeah, he ran knowing he was guilty. So maybe that argument will be ignored like the one of the patricide/matricide pleading for mercy due to being an orphan.
