A veteran Dallas police officer allegedly sexually assaulted a woman, forcing her to perform sex acts while he was driving a marked police car and in uniform, the Dallas Morning News reported on Sunday.


The officer, David Kattner, reportedly called the woman and forced her to perform a sex act while keeping one hand on his service weapon, according to an arrest warrant affidavit obtained by the Morning News.

Kattner and the woman were reportedly seen on Sunday morning by detectives in the area who interviewed the woman. She told the detectives that Kattner had also assaulted her two other times after threatening her with outstanding warrants and saying he knew where her daughter lived, the Morning News reported.

Kattner, a 26-year veteran of the Dallas Police Department, was being held in the Dallas County Jail, the paper reported.

from the above link, I wouldn't be surprised. He sounds like a real jerk from your above link..thanks for posting it. Sadly, most of the time, bad cops get away. The story talks about how cops cover up for each other. Nothing new, but very sad indeed. The bad cops should be gotten rid of, not the good ones like your story discusses.

Here is a link to another bad cop, Commander Burge...it took 20 years to prosecute him and then they got him on not telling the truth to a grand jury, not his torture of prisoners. He was eventually convicted on a federal charge, never tried or even arrested on local charges..

It’s almost Christmas, so I will try not to gloat too much and revel in the downfall of Officer David Kattner, a 26-year veteran of the Dallas Police Department. Just the facts.

In 2007, we published a story that involved Kattner. The story revealed how Kattner and his fellow officers would harass prostitutes and homeless people, writing them tickets for offenses they didn’t commit so that the cops could later arrest the people on felony charges after they didn’t take care of their tickets. The five cops in that story — Kattner, Jeffrey Nelson, Alfred Schoelen Jr., Timothy Stecker, and Walter Clifton — sued us for defamation. They appealed a trial court’s decision in our favor, taking the matter to the Fifth District Court of Appeal. They lost there, too. It took us four years to get these guys off our back.

Kattner was arrested yesterday on a sexual assault charge. It appears that he was forcing a prostitute to perform oral sex on him by “showing her her outstanding warrants and telling her he knew where her daughter lives.” Detectives are trying to determine whether there are other victims.
