...was always one of my favorites.

A great, soulful singer that just happened to be of the Woodstock Generation.

Must have spent a lot of time in the lew. I am going to have to do more singing in the shower. Ever heard that St. James Infirmary. That song must have had a round trip ticket. Started as an Irish Ballad, went to New Orleans, and then back to the British Isles.

I looked it up already and looks like a good way to remember him tonight but they are overloaded
at present
Said:
Long-time friends & associates of rock icon (& Crawford, Colorado, resident) Joe Cocker spent this afternoon on the air, (in KVNF's Cocker Studio,) sharing their stories & tributes. Our live internet stream, unfortunately, has been overloaded, to say the least. As quickly as we can, we'll be posting the recording of the 3-hour tribute program right here.

He lived in Colorado for nearly two decades where he started the Cocker Kids' Foundation with his wife Pam.

Cocker was also a major supporter of KVNF.

Station DJs and friends of Cocker are hosting a live tribute show for the late singer until 3 p.m. People can stream the show at kvnf.org. And it will be available on the station website after it airs.

It also said he died at home

That's the way I used to sing in church. I'll bet going to church for a lot of those people was an hour in hell.

while doing stuff around the house and have noticed -- beyond the obvious voice and moves -- the impeccable timing and intense eye contact. He could *really* work it. Seemed like a really nice guy, too. Former gas fitter before hitting the big time?! RIP, Mr. Cocker, and condolences to your family and friends.
