NY Politician Caught Following Adult Film Star On Twitter, Blames Hackers

Bellone only followed 267 people on Twitter at the time, so Knox’s adult material wasn’t difficult to spot amongst the other political figures, media, organizations and coalitions that Bellone followed. Now, Bellone only follows 266 Twitter pages, as he seems to have unfollowed Knox.
When word got out about the dirty little secret on Bellone’s “following” list, the married father of three seeking re-election next year claimed he had no idea how it happened, and that he himself never even logs in or uses the account. His spokeswoman, Vanessa Baird-Streeter, said:
“County Executive Bellone’s Twitter account, which is operated by his staff, has been hacked and an obscene Twitter account was subsequently followed.
