Judge rules woman who drove kids into sea was insane

(Reuters) - A Florida judge on Friday found a South Carolina mother who drove her three children into the Atlantic Ocean not guilty of felony child abuse by reason of insanity, authorities said.

Ebony Wilkerson, 33, agreed to the plea after prosecutors at the court hearing dropped attempted murder charges, according to the state attorney’s spokesman, Spencer Hathaway.

The case was resolved after the prosecutor's own experts agreed with the defense that Wilkerson suffered a mental breakdown in March when she drove her minivan into the surf at Daytona Beach with her children screaming for help in the back, Hathaway confirmed.

Circuit Judge Leah Case will decide at a hearing Tuesday whether to send Wilkerson to a state mental hospital or release her under the supervision of mental health counselors.

2. Ronny might have been more evil than stupid

maybe he wasn't stupid at all, his brain did turn to mush at some point in his second term but that's a horrible disease that can happen to anyone.

He made up stories about poor people, he did his best to shred the safety net. He let mentally ill people become homeless many died for no good reason. He was involved in setting up training for fascist regimes from Central America so they could torture and murder the people who were demanding more than a cup of cornmeal a day. He expanding the military to an obscene degree cuz bombs are more important that food for people who are hungry. He did all this while cultivating the image of a loving grandfather, but he was more like well a fascist that wishes he could do just a little bit more to make life hell for anyone who was poor, minority, gay, or female.
