Would we torture white Christians?

The people tortured by Cheney, the CIA, et al, were, for the most part, Muslim, brown men. Would they have been so quick to torture white Christians?

And if so, would the approximately 50% or so of Americans who think torture is okay, have a problem if white Christians were being tortured?

it not being a Christian nation such as Christians who do not want prayer in school or who support gay marriage or who support and use birth control. It would not be hard for me to believe that some conservative Christians would be okay with torturing other Christians that they believed were contributing to the moral decay of our country.

When someone is as evil as Dick Cheney, all life is equally worthless if it stands in his way.

But they were aware of the biases in American society, and were careful to "play in the cracks" for the sake of convenience. It would have gone harder for them if they'd gone after white American citizens.

I teach students from the ME and they range from looking similar to black Africans, to white Europeans, to the occasional Far East Asian looking one, but many are brown-skinned.

or at the very least try to fabricate some data to define "for the most part", as you say were "muslim brown men". If "for the most part" qualifies as actual data, then define what the remaining % was. Otherwise I think you are just trying to whip up a little race hatred for no reason.

Are you sure there were no "white christians" tortured ? or are you just hoping/assuming that ?
