The Teapublican Endgame has Already Begun.

https://bluntandcranky.wordpress.com/2014/12/12/the-teapublican-endgame-has-already-begun/

So the budget bill passed the House and is heading to the Senate. It avoids a government shutdown, yay. It also:

* Makes it legal for retirees to have the benefits they paid for taken away by their erstwhile employers,
* Makes it legal for Wall Street to crash the world economy once again,
* Makes it even easier for rich motherf***ers to buy and sell elections.

The Prexy and most Dems are going along because in a few weeks, with more “republicans” in DC, any legislation passed will be even worse for us. Thus we approach the Randian Teapubbie Paradise: in which right-wing extremists call all the shots.

We are about to be robbed, abused, surveilled, and mocked by the 1% bastards for two years. To an even greater extent than hitherto. And as to anyone could have voted Dem in the last election but chose not to, it is at least partly their f***ing fault. Fuck them all with a sandy lubricant, the f***ing f***wits.

It’s gonna get even worse, peeps. America is going to get what we voted for. God help us, every one.

We are in for a world of hurt! Portman definitely won't help and I consider him one of the "not so bad" Republicans.

The Dirty Fucking Hippies were right !!!!!!!!!!!!

I consider myself to be a Dirty Fucking Hippie, Socialist, Atheist.

The gentleman I talked to at Sherrod Brown's office seemed pleased and happy with my comments.

The lady at Rob Portman's office seemed angry.

I am not sure how to interpret that.

Support a bad bill or wait and fight a worse one later? That's the solution set.

And it is because too many Americans made stupid choices on November 4th.

One of the most liberal members of the House. Its purpose is to try and save multi-employer pension plans -- those that unions, like the Teamsters, run -- not employers. Those plans are severely underfunded, due to mismanagement, and some may go to the PBGC -- the government agency which takes on failed pension plans.

If they go to the PBGC the maximum allowed is $12,870 after working 30 years -- this is far less than most of the pension plans pay. In this event most union members would lose at least half their pension.

The budget provision would allow pension cuts to keep them afloat so they won't go to the PBGC. This is the reason Obama is supporting it. No, nothing to do with the TP or anything else.
