If the Democrats do not release the CIA report...?

..they are a bunch of chicken shits.

Especially after getting their asses handed to them in the last election.

And especially after the CIA admitted that they spied on the Senate Committee that was investigating the CIA.

They should not let the torturers and spymasters determine what is going to be released and what is going to remain "classified". However, this is the most likely outcome.

They should be willing to name names. George W Bush, Dick Cheney, Mike Rogers, all the CIA directors, military officers, civilian employees, Barack Obama, or whomever might be named in the report?

The American people have been waiting a long time to get back our respect. They stole it. And now they want to cover it up.

It's time to come clean.

The P.A.T.R.I.O.T. A.C.T. received how many yea and how many nay votes?

98 yea, 1 nay, one not voting

Senator Landrieu D-LA) did not vote

Senator Feingold D-WI alone, voted NAY.

In the Cheney Administration's eyes, torture was for all intents and purpose authorized by the Senate.

Admitting THAT is a Congressional crisis, people's careers and reputations would be ruined.

Forget about violence overseas. This fight to keep it from view is about humiliation HERE and NOW

Don't expect the truth to reach the public for 100 years.

I don't think they ever approved torture in name? Or, at least, most of them did not.

These things came up EARLY. They were investigated...REMEMBER ABU GHRAIB?

The assholes meant to represent America's interests kept their mouths shut in the midst of the dust up.

They still are dealing with pushing that dust under the rug

Since he is defeated - has nothing left to lose before he leaves...

I think it'll happen - The report can be released on the Senate floor - completely declassified and released to the public once he gets it done.

My guess it's his farewell gift...

And it will completely destroy Republicans as whole.

A highly anticipated Senate Intelligence Committee report expected to condemn the CIA for using torture following the 9/11 terrorist attacks is set to be released Tuesday, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest confirmed.

An executive summary of the classified report is expected to accuse the CIA of lying repeatedly to Congress, the White House and the American people. Parts of the report leaked to the media last April, leading to a full investigation.

Secretary of State John Kerry, cautioning the safety of American personnel abroad following the release, requested a delay, but Sen. Dianne Feinstein, Chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, remained firm on its imminent release. Earnest, during a Monday briefing, said that President Obama believes it’s important for the report to be unveiled, adding that the administration has been planning the release for months and is preparing U.S. embassies for any potential impact.

The Senate intelligence committee is poised to release a landmark inquiry into torture as early as Tuesday, after the Obama administration made a last-ditch effort to suppress a report that has plunged relations between the CIA and its Senate overseer to a historic low point.
