I'm beginning to think it will end up being

very good that the repukes have majority in both houses. Several years of them in control should impact even the non-thinking republican voters and they will realize they don't want any more of the elected repukes again. Then, the democrats gain control, will have democrat president, and things will return to the good times. To bad I'll be so old I probably won't even know my own name.

Of course the glass is half full of shards of glass, and we get to live through them dismantling things right and left, and generally making life suck even more than it does, so that the Democratic 'We don't suck as bad' line will lead to some electoral victories again for a cycle or two.

Then Democrats were elected overwhelmingly to fix all the things Republicans screwed up. Democrats then went on to do just what Repubicans wanted and not what Democrats wanted. Guess what happened the next election? Democrats stayed home.. As they will continue to do until elected Democrats do what Democrats want them to do..As long as elected Democrats feel the need to buckle under to Republican demands they don't deserve to be elected. So why bother to vote?
