#blacklivesmatter is exclusive and it is putting the focus on one race
and that's exactly why it's important.
To most (but not all!) of the people here, it seems so obvious that it doesn't need to be stated. You may as well tell people not to stone rape victims or burn widows alive.
One of my major realizations during the Obama election in 2008 is how many people don't see black people as being fully American to the point where they will deny the American citizenship of a black man despite all evidence to the contrary.
Black people are treated like "illegal" aliens in their own country. The exercise of their first and second amendment rights is seen as not being legitimate. They can be detained, beaten, or killed for no reason.
When a white person (or someone who can "pass" kills a black man, people come out of the woodwork to say "What about black on black crime?"
You know why that is?
They're pointing out that they think black people are disposable.
These people need to be confronted, and the more that certain people are offended or feel excluded by #blacklivesmatter, the better.
