the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the police, who investigate crime; and the district attorneys, who prosecute the offenders."



How many times have you heard this phrase repeated? Probably thousands.

And yet we are shocked when the district attorneys manipulate grand juries to exonerate the police of culpability in serious crimes including murder.

Never said any better. Also, when was the time when Lennie gunned anybody down?

RIP.
