Stephen Colbert Announces He'll Finally Interview Obama On Monday

The interview will take place Monday at George Washington University.

On Thursday night's episode of "The Colbert Report," host Stephen Colbert announced a key update to his trip to the U.S. capital next week.

Colbert was excited to reveal that he had planned to book the '90s alternative band The Presidents of The United States of America for his D.C. special.

"Unfortunately, there was a bit of a mix-up, and I did not book the band—I booked the actual President of the United States of America," he said. "Barack Obama is gonna be my guest."

"I am so honored to be sitting down with the man who sat down with Bill O'Reilly," he added.

I am looking forward to Colbert taking over the Letterman slot. I may even start taking naps so I can stay up late to watch.
