contributes to the police when they respond to calls.
I'm not by any means condoning what's going on in their reactions, just opening a discussion on the possibility that concealed/carry might tend to make the ordinary cop on the job edgier any they should be.
I was in AZ over the Thanksgiving weekend and while driving to Yuma my father was pulled over by a cop. When the cop came to the window my father handed the officer his license, registration, cc permit and told him that he was carrying a firearm concealed. The cop did not bat an eye, just went back to his squad car and wrote my dad a ticket for speeding.

(7,720 posts)but the CCW database is not connected to the DMV. If a LEO asks a driver if they are a CCW holder and if they have a weapon in their vehicle, the CCW must answer truthfully. If the LEO does not ask, the driver can choose whether or not to provide that information. I do not have a CCW, but if I did, I would provide the information without being asked.

(4,033 posts)I've been stopped twice and in both cases the cop knew it when he approached the car. I didn't have a gun with me either time, rarely do.
