Anthony Garcia is escorted to his pretrial hearing on Dec. 3, 2014, at the Douglas County Courthouse.
Anthony Garcias attorneys continued to try to pick away Wednesday at whether authorities had probable cause to arrest him in the killings of four Omahans.
Alison Motta, one of Garcias Chicago attorneys, grilled FBI agent Jonathan Robitaille as to why agents pulled over Garcia as he traveled on Interstate 57 through Illinois.
Robitaille reiterated the reason he gave last month, when the hearing began: Garcia was the man Omaha police and FBI agents believed killed four Omahans as vengeance for his firing from Creighton University Medical Center.
Authorities believed they had enough evidence to charge him with four counts of first-degree murder in the March 2008 killings of Shirlee Sherman and 11-year-old Thomas Hunter and in the May 2013 killings of Dr. Roger Brumback and his wife, Mary.
