Dornella Conners is the latest person to suffer from Ferguson peace keeping.

A note. The officer who did this has not been identified.

Earlier this week, Dornnella Connors drove into Ferguson to join protesters supporting Michael Brown.

Now, she’s blind in her left eye and can barely see out of her right one, according to St. Louis’ KMOV.

Connors and her boyfriend De’Angelas Lee were leaving a gas station near Ferguson when multiple officers arrived. The officers were responding to reports of gun fire at the station and wanted to clear the area.

Connors said Lee, who was driving, attempted to get “around” the officers and exit. Officers claim Lee drove towards them.

Even "less lethal" force does damage. The injury seems to have been unintended: the cop shot at the car. The beanbag broke the window and hit her eye.

While I feel badly for Connors, trying to "get around" the police was not a smart idea. If they're investigating gunshots, just do what they tell you and don't move until you have permission.

drove "around the police" and straight into a protester. Yeah that dude.... was called a fucking victim and let go. No bean bag guns for him.. So you only need to "do what they tell you until you have permission to move" if you are white?

Conners says as she and her boyfriend were driving away from the station multiple police officers showed up.

“They pulled up while we were coming towards the street, De’Anglas was trying to get away, they blocked us from the side, front and back,” Conners said.

Conners says her boyfriend was trying to drive around St. Louis County Police but police say he drove towards them. Police say the officer, fearing for his safety, used his less lethal bean bag round, striking the front passenger window causing it to shatte

except actually ran someone over, was let go.

I understand that this was a mistake on the drivers part, I'm sure things are pretty tense if you are a black driver in that neighborhood. What I don't understand is why the white guy got away with running someone over when this person got a beanbag to the face.
