GOP Goal Is To Rule Like Afrikaners In South Africa As Minority Party.

There is a lot more to the GOP shenanigans in the electoral process. Their goal is a US kind of apartheid where they can rule like the Afrikaners did in South Africa for so long. By controlling the states through gerrymandering, voter ID, Electoral College distortions and bending the voting process that favors whites only they could create an African kind of government here in the US.

Ferguson along with many other communities the landscape already looks like a township scene where minorities are geographically sequestered into powerless enclaves. Their war on civil rights has continued unabated. And the Ferguson situation already represents what is going on nationally. Already it appears that many police departments are infiltrated by a white supremacist mentality.

The huge monetary advantage provided by Citizens United already gives the GOP, the churches, the right wing, and their allies are already ahead of this game with control of so many state legislatures. They can wreak havoc on voting and vote access.

They are in a hurry to cut off the minority vote before it becomes a majority. Voter ID is just the beginning. And the pro gun policies of the GOP and NRA are about arming a white supremacist constituency to help further their policies. The rise of the new KKK is hardly a coincidence. Along with that faction the religious right has announced its new initiatives to take back the county from secularism.

The public education system is under attack everywhere in the country. Through privatization and vouchers our education system is being re segregated like never before. Under the disguise of choice more and more public funds are being diverted to private and religious schools.

I realize that this scenario might seem somewhat extreme. However think about what is going on. The GOP & RW are more openly racist now. They have no fear and they have a lap dog media to push their ideas.

Doesn't seem extreme; to the contrary it's plausible & horrible. appalachiablue Nov 2014 #1
None of this happens without the lapdog media, they are conspirators in this apartheid-like attempt. Fred Sanders Nov 2014 #2

Voter suppression works. In Texas, the vote was down a good deal due to the voter id law. The GOP knows that it has to use voter suppression tactics to keep in power

Mandela's ANC terrorists. Reagan met many times with South Africa's white leadership. Reagan vetoed the Sanctions Congress imposed on South Africa and Congress overruled the veto.
Reagan era history needs to be remembered. The people who voted for him voted for aggressively racist policy sold with absolute lies. Here is Reagan on the radio in 1985 just lying like mad about South Africa:
" “They have eliminated the segregation that we once had in our own country — the type of thing where hotels and restaurants and places of entertainment and so forth were segregated — that has all been eliminated.”

I myself stood with Desmond Tutu who in 1984 told Americans that Reagan's policy was ”immoral, evil and totally un-Christian."
I have a very hard time when people ask me to support folks who supported Reagan and his policies.

and another non-majority vote President like Bush, and they will complete it.
They just need to muck with the electoral college in one or two states for that to happen.
