How much will FOX pay him?
The guy will probably never have to work as a cop ever again? He can make a good living off the right-wing media.
From the office of Supeme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, US vs Wiliams 1992, stated that under no circumstance should a suspect under investigation be allowed to offer testimony or exculpatory evidence before a grand jury.
This should not be the end of this story.

(589 posts)As far as I'm aware no news agency pays for interviews or at least I have never heard of one before

I stand by my opinion that the murdering, yellowstained piece of shite is making lots of cash on his media prostitution tour.
Nothing is for free except for Darren, The Shivering Coward, Wilson.

(589 posts)There was also from what I read some type of fund set up for him where idiots donated money
It was close to 1/2 million
Add that to sometype of buyout the city might do for his pension
so he could walk away with close to a million

(2,149 posts)They get around the "no pay for an interview" quite easily. i think it's unethical to not disclose all forms of remuneration.

Compensation was put forward, compensation that was enough for the killer to choose ABC over the other outlets.

(21,925 posts)who notes how robotic he looked during the interview, how his facial expressions were flat, opining that his responses to questions by Stephanopoulos were very rehearsed and not spontaneous.
You can bet your bottom dollar that everything Darren Wilson said to the grand jury and to the public in his interview was rehearsed hour after hour with his attorney, in a way designed to evade legal difficulty.

(9,893 posts)if you put me on CNN and asked me what I did at work yesterday I'd come across as robotic and flat. I'm not a celebrity used to and trained to talk on camera. All this says about Wilson is that he's out of his element and nervous.

(21,925 posts)Oh please? LOL
Did you shoot someone? Did you spend hours rehearsing with an attorney to go before a grand jury? Did you spend hours being coached on what to say to avoid criminal liability? I'm a retired attorney and I can guarantee you that every attorney coaches his client, even for depositions in civil matters and especially in criminal cases where a murder charge is a possibility. The attorneys I've seen on television commenting on Wilson's TV interview seem to have the same response: "very well coached."
God, some of the people on this website truly live in another world beyond reality.'t be surprised if Wilson even rem
ON EDIT: Sorry for coming on a little strong and I apologize. But I'm near my wit's end of some people on this website ignoring reality and coming to the defense of poor Officer Darren Wilson. After playing the role of the righteous cop with his lawyer during coaching sessions, I wouldn't be surprised if Wilson doesn't even clearly remember how it actually went down any more.

(55,445 posts)Of course there is a premium for the first exclusive interview, so no other network is going that high for subsequent interviews...
So all told, Wilson has cleared cool million so far...In some twisted way this country is incentivizing the shootings of unarmed black folks....

Not the same as banning compensation at all.
