post something here on DU.. Yesterday when I posted about Jim Webb, I really didn't know a whole lot about him, but boy, do I now. Did notice a few conflicting post about his time in the senate.
Now,, I really will have to give a long 2nd thought about Jim, HRC, Elizabeth, et. al....

Even on DU.

At one time, the expectation to post on DU was that if you post it, you have better be able to back it up. That isn't as true anymore.

But still DUer's are good at wading through the bull and nailing down the true character of a politician.

But remember this about all politicians, if their lips are moving, they are lying, some more than others.

Their reasons for posting here are all different. Use DU as a way to research. While it was original a much better news dumping ground, it is still really good overall. Poster here have their own reasons for being here. Not all of them are honest reasons. Tons and tons of good people here. That doesn't mean DU owns some monopoly on honesty. Not even close. That long second look you say you need to take, do so, that is always good.

some of us to have second thoughts. ALL of them.
Yes, posting about a politician here at DU will quickly get a lot of research and information. Might be slanted a bit, of course, by those who are pushing a different candidate or whatever. But the research is great, and a great starting point for me, at least!
What I am noticing now is a bit of passive-aggressive stuff (IMO, etc.) since outright harangues and charts and lists don't seem to be having the intended effect.
