News from Nashville, made me cry with tears of Joy

Having lived in Nashville as an openly gay man, and having see people lose jobs in the music industry because they were outed, I know the courage it took for Ty Herndon to come out.

And then, hours later, Ty's coming out gave another country star, Billy Gilman, the courage to also come out.

That, along with the first same-sex marriages in South Carolina and Montana, have made me very, very happy!!

We have come along ways!

The thought that coming out as a Democrat requires more courage than coming out as Gay.
