Why do so many memorable events happen on April 19th...?

I heard that Levon Helm passed on this afternoon. He left with his spirit singing...

And this was the day the Branch Davidian compound in Waco was burned down in 1993...

And this was when the Oklahoma City bombing happened...

And this was my Mother's Birthday....

This is a sad day in so many ways.

would suggest mentally going back in time to the year she was born and relive the historical changes she experienced or saw through her lifetime and perhaps her birthday won't seem so melancholy to you.

Peace to you.

She is always smiling when I think of her. She was almost 6 months old when the stock market crashed in 1929...

I just miss her.

IIRC, Timothy McVeigh and the Columbine killers chose April 19th to do their evil deeds because of its historic significance. Wasn't Kristallnaght (sp?) also on April 19th?

They did it to coincide with Hitler's birthday.

Kristallnacht was the night of November 9/10.

McVeigh, however, did pick April 19 because it was the anniversary of the raid on the Branch Davidian compound.

The Battles of Lexington and Concord. I think Massachusetts is the only state that still celebrates it.

OK bombing happened on the 19th because that was the Waco date.

and my family and old coworkers. Oklahoma City and Columbine and Waco are forever etched in our hearts and minds. April pretty much sucks.
