Does anyone stop to pause and remember the victims of Oklahoma City -- 17 years ago today.

I haven't heard a peep about in the media.

Perhaps they want to bury the parallels between the likes of the 1990's militia movement and today's teabaggers???

There were two people who had survivor's stories in the museum that my husband knew. He grew up in OKC.

The museum takes about four hours to go through, but it's amazing, the psychological planning they used to go through the stages of the experience.

Plenty of coverage locally. I am sure the nightly roundups will feature a 30 second blurb and show the man playing bagpipes.

christians can NEVER be called terrorists. The worse you can call them is Extremeists. White skin is the wrong color for the word Terrorists.

IT is a bunch a bull shit BUT it is a bullshit bat scam. A terrorist is a terrorist and we should be honoring those dead just as much .

"Muslims" were the initial, immediate suspects. And, this was pre-bin Laden, pre-USS Cole, but post WTC 1993.

I would think the media is keeping quiet to leave a space for whatever memorial mass murder crops up today.

17 years. As a New Yorker, I'm guessing they're not over it.

That was the day i was waiting for the doctor to call and i got my diagnosis of MS. So, with nothing else to do, i watched the news basically all day.

On Edit: One thing that really stuck with me, was an "expert" in explosive who came on CNN and said they must have used at least a 100 pound bomb. I'm looking at the building, and my consultations with the Army Corps of Engineers, i knew from 800 miles away that that was at least 10 times that, probably more.

Some "expert".

I know that's weird thing to stick with me given the tragedy, but that is one thing i always remember.

My parents live 10 miles away and the force slammed their front door shut. It was one hell of an explosion. I kind of hate today but tomorrow is another day.
