Dennis Prager: Conservatives don't want power

He just said it on his right-wing radio show, the difference between conservatives and liberals is that liberals want power and conservatives don't want power. His example of liberals wanting power is the teachers unions. He challenged his listeners to think of an example of conservatives wanting power and he said there are no such examples.

In one way, he's right, though. Conservatives don't "want" power. They want to KEEP the power they already have, and refuse to share it, or use it for the common good.

RWers work on the basis that "perception is reality", so if you say something enough times it becomes true.

But of course, it's still not true, you just end up with a bunch of deluded people.

9/11. Total power grab. Dennis's voice reminds me of the kid on Christmas Story Ralphie. The first time I heard him, I thought they were the same guy.

They hand power over to the people with the guns and permit those folks to use their guns against the powerless. How much more power do the righties want?
