Heads up San Franciscans. For the next 2 months, Margaret Cho will be busking on the streets of

SF. Today was Haight Ashbury and tomorrow will be at Castro and Market at noon.

For the next 2 months I am going to be busking in the street in San Francisco to raise money for the homeless - many hours a day..... i will tweet/FB where i will be and id love any of you musician/comic/artist types to come down and help me feed and entertain people. my crew is small it's Gerri Lawlor and Andy Moraga so far - and so please stay tuned to my feed and if you can come down - i will put you on! we have a small amplification system and big hearts. we will make videos and i have some secret amazing legit superstars who will come and sit in with us. the homeless problem in SF is out of control and this is the least we can do. don't DM or reach out - just come see me and i will put you on. let's get off the internet and heal the world. together. x

1. I have always hated/dislike Ms. Cho.

Early in her career, her show was based around how poorly her parents spoke and how ignorent her parents were of American culture.

My parents spoke with a ridiculous accent and I missed out on a lot of things as a child (little league etc) because they did not know about this culture.

My parents were great. I would never shit on them in public.

So fuck her..

3. You apparently know nothing about stand up comedy

Which is what preceded her TV show. The majority of comics mock their parents, spouses, in laws, siblings etc., since comedy frequently comes from what we know and experience. And what do we know more intimately than family? And the audience can relate, cause they've got family too, and hardly a family exists without some eccentricity. So you may not choose to regale us with humorous anecdotes about your family, but don't be misled into thinking Margaret Cho was doing something outlandish.
